We have brought together a group of talented housing experts. They have a broad mix of expertise and experience. This allows Just Housing to build integrated teams around client needs. All of our consultants have generic as well as specialist skills. However, each project has an expert lead. This is as true of a one off assignment as it is of a wider initiative around transformation which may have many separate elements. Alongside individual skills we put great store on our people being able to engage with and fit in with our clients.

MANAGEMENT SERVICES

  • We help social landlords understand how different strands of data interact and impact on strategic direction. Assisting with financial and maintenance forecasts we provide a better foundation for future service provision. For example, working with three small registered providers we have built their stock condition data, developed an asset management (AM) strategy, programmed works and new Board and performance reporting. In a London Borough we have involved residents in reshaping major works delivery.

  • We set up DLO teams for councils and housing associations across the UK with turnover in excess of £60m as well as clienting outsourced repairs and specialist service contracts with a value of more than £1bn. This has included addressing long standing repairs issues around damp, condensation, disrepair and so on. We build community support for in-house teams and new contractors and then ensure that local economic benefit and positive social impact are key outcomes.

  • We have procured c£1bn of services for the social housing sector - from repairs to cleaning, asset management to ICT systems. In doing so we always aim to bring new thinking to the process - solutions need to be bespoke and not packaged. Central to our approach is engaging with residents and maximising social value.   • Complex projects require high quality project management if they are to deliver required outcomes. In areas such as ICT, procurement and broader transformational programmes it is good project management that drives success. This is an area of strength for Just Housing. We cannot offer the range of support highlighted throughout our website without having strong project management expertise. For example, we have project managed the transformation initiative for long term repairs in Hammersmith and Fulham, the integration of different systems in Lambeth and are managing the procurement of a multi supplier arrangement focusing on local providers in Newham.

  • Essential for organisations to develop and succeed, change and transformation can be challenging for leaders to navigate and implement effectively.   • We help clients reshape their service models creating bespoke solutions that are new and transformational. We do this by integrating all elements that impact on service outcomes. Innovation is a core theme in our approach as is how we engage with residents and build social value into solutions. For example, working with some 20 landlords we have reshaped resident involvement to give communities greater influence over their services. Similarly, we have secured contractor commitments to deliver in excess of £20m of social value.

  • Housing is a complicated issue that is never out of the public eye. Providers are under constant pressure to communicate rapidly and effectively, often in a fast paced environment.

    We help our clients get their message right for their target audience, whether its communicating to residents, service users, the wider public or key stakeholders. Our consultants have a range of expertise that covers internal communications, media relations, resident engagement, public affairs targeted on local and national politicians, and digital media.

  • We work with clients to re-design service models, improve value for money and create bespoke customer journeys that reflect commercial reality. We bring a ‘real world’ perspective on how contractors think and how social landlords need to respond and build solutions. This means providing an interface between our clients and the market to keep driving efficiencies and savings. We expect to deliver savings of between 5% and 15% in managing this element of an assignment.

  • Using interactive software at the beginning of a project allows our social housing data experts to understand the pinch points and hotspots during delivery. This enhances the transformation process ensuring that reporting on performance and improvements is transparent and relevant. In this way we leave clients with a legacy product for the long term.

    We are using Power BI to create a unique monitoring framework to give local politicians and executives a clear understanding of how contractors and in-house teams are driving social and economic benefit into local communities. We have built dynamic performance reporting systems that allow organisations to ‘deep dive’ into a range of metrics and easily analyse data.
